The TES is the most unbelievable drying system we have seen in over 15 years in business.
Our average dry time on water losses has been around 22 hours instead of 3-7 days. Out of all our completed water losses we have had only one job to take over 30 hours and that was due to triple thick materials we were drying.
The bif benefit of this unit is there is virtually no rip out and replace that is needed (Cat 1 & Cat 2 Losses, Cat 3 - still have to rip materials out of the structure). The Customers can get back to normal operations after the loss in about 24 - 36 hours in most cases. they do not have to go through resconstruction that can take weeks. We have had a 100% satifaction on all of our jobs we ahve completed with the TES.
A few side notes about the unit on the job. This unit will heat effected areas between 100 - 120 degrees, the humidity is exhausted outside the structure with an airmover and thermostat control. The more the thermostat cycles the faster the structure will dry. The unit circulates a solution throught a heat exhanger into coil boxes, then an airmover is installed in the top of the coil box and blows the warm air into the effected areas. The TES is designed to be used as a closed srying system ( No outside air is required for drying). With the rapid evaporation rates, there is very little chance for bacteria/fungi growth to develope during the drying process. We have been told out of the 17 different types of bacteria that can be encountered in a water loss, this will kill 16 out of 17 due to the extreme heat. Bacteria will only grow between 68 - 86 degree F.
Zip walls can be used to focus the heat in the effected areas for drying. The main unit will use about 100lbs (25 gal) of LP gas in a 24 hr period. I would suggest you purchase 4 100lb (25 gal.) tanks @ time ofpurchase of the unit. If you have back to back jobs there is no time to go refill the tanks. We have run into this a couple of times. The extra tanks have come in handy.
We usually connect up 2 100lb. tanks to the unit so we make sure we do not run out gas on the job.
The big advantage is you dry materials out faster and if you have low amp draw airmovers and a couple of generators, you can start drying out structures with no electricity where your competition has to wait on the power company The main unit draw about 9amp. Typically you will not need more than 6 airmovers total on any loss. This is a hugh advantage in disaster areas.
